Starter pack: If you have a gold seal 元 cleric hire (Elleri Thistledown iirc), you bought this. The DDO Market itself only sells a few things. That includes Races, Classes, Adventure packs, various Item Storage options (inc. The in-game DDO store literally won't show you anything you already have. how can i be sure of what i already bought. but i dont remember which ones i have bought or not. and when i first played the game i had bought a lot of things from the DDO Market. If it wasn't for the depth of the character customisation, this game would probably have died off 5 years ago.Īrcanun님이 먼저 게시:Hey, im coming back to the game after a longgg time. But take away character customisation, and what else is there to enjoy, really? Because from what I understand, the Ravenloft setting is actually quite small. I could only enjoy that if I blew £100 on the expansion pack, and this expansion isn't worth that much. I don't know about anyone else, but the magic of DDO relies on character customisation. Without those, buying the pack just for the Ravenloft setting seems pointless, and a lot of the stuff just feels like a filler that is designed to do nothing more than push the price of the expansion pack up. The new heroic class and knife fighter tree for instance. That's all well and good just for the expansion pack and race. How is that not new player friendly? Especially considering that in a few months you can buy the Ravenloft content for DDO pts which you can get for free.so really, you could get all the expansions for about $20 if you wait a few months to get Ravenloft. Tessienne님이 먼저 게시:Even if you buy the standard Ravenloft bundle for $40 as well, that's all the expansions ever released for DDO for about $60. I think that the developers have a lesson to learn from this experience, and hope that they reflect on this between now and when they release their next expansion pack, if they release another expansion pack. Given how all of this went down, I don't think that I will be buying / pre-ordering any more expansion packs in the future.
I don't blame the dev's though, I blame Gaybreak. I was so hyped for that, only to be let down by the pricing stucture and the quality of the bundles, which is poor to say the least. The Ravenloft expansion is the only one that I want, but it is undoubtedly the biggest dissapointment of this year. I figure that will work out much cheaper than buying the actual Ravenloft content packs, especially considering that the new heroic class is only shipped with the most expensive version of the Ravenloft expansion, which will cost me around £100, and is loaded with crap that I don't want, or don't need, like the 2 month premium subscription and a crap tone of cosmetics which are pointless to me. I just hope for some double bonus point sales between now and then, and then I will just buy the race, heroic class and skill tree individually. Well, I'm just going to wait until March to buy the Ravenloft expansion, when the individual components hit the DDO store.
